One of my greatest pet peeves, is when someone tells you that you cannot do something.
Firstly, what gives that person the right to believe it is their place to say that someone else’s dreams are a little too lost amongst the stars in an unreachable cavity? Also, what gives that person the right to belittle someone else’s dreams, making them feel like their goals and hopes are below par? Just because someone else’s life goals and dreams are not the same as yours, doesn’t mean they aren’t just as exciting, achievable and as meaningful as your own. I let someone convince me that my dreams were leading me no where fast, maybe for two years tops, but my dreams found a way back to me. For that, my belief in the term “everything happens for a reason” is greatly increased. Everything i’ve ever wanted is sitting right in front of me, because of this, I feel incredibly lucky and grateful for everything i’ve worked for and been given. In the industry i’m in, phrases such as “and where is that going to get you?” and “you’ll never get anywhere” are loosely thrown around. Those people don’t realise that if we didn’t strive for those dreams and goals, they would have nothing to entertain them. They would have no release from their busy and stressful schedules. I will never do anything else, even if I am poor for the rest of my life, because I love it more than anything, I have passion for what I do and not many people get to experience that.

Don’t ever let anyone convince you that you cannot do something. You are capable of greater things than you could imagine.
